Nikolay Denkov requested a replacement of the Central Election Commission

The fact is that the Central Election Commission (CEC) did not do a good job of conducting the elections this time. A change in the composition of the CEC should be sought. It does not reflect reality at the moment. This should be done by the National Assembly.

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said this in the live broadcast of the Council of Ministers, during which the Prime Minister answers questions from citizens, a BGNES reporter reported.

I spoke with Minister Jolovski yesterday. He declined to provide further information as the investigation is ongoing. I know these people well enough and I know that the statements I saw in the media cannot possibly be true, Denkov also said regarding the accusations by the Minister of Electronic Government that the co-chairman of the PP Kiril Petkov threatened him.

"There is an inconsistency in the work of Minister Yolovski," Denkov said. According to him, one should not look for a change of ministers, even more of ministers who do their job professionally. According to him, the Ministry of e-Government managed in a short period of a few months to bring out decisions that people have been waiting for years.

"We have to work with all parities that support the cabinet. The changes of their leaders are internal issues of the party," Denkov commented on the resignation of the chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Mustafa Karadai.

Denkov emphasized that the voting of changes in the legislation that are being made are in favor of the Bulgarian people.

"If they want to continue for the benefit of the state, let them continue to do so, regardless of who is the leader," he noted.

The Prime Minister also commented on his request for the resignation of SANS Chairman Plamen Tonchev.

"The chairman of SANS covered up violations of the law on classification of information by his deputy. Separately, it is related to showing political bias, for which the chairman of SANS has no right. The motives are very serious," he said categorically, stressing that President Rumen Radev must and will sign the resignation of the chairman of SANS, otherwise he will be held responsible.

"The president is obstructing me, he exceeds his authority. I must be able to work with the chairman of DANS in order to be able to fulfill my duties," the prime minister also said.

Denkov added that the tax laws must be passed in order to be able to propose a budget that takes into account the actually passed tax laws. The Prime Minister added that he expects the 2024 budget to be put up for public discussion next week.
