The lawsuit was filed on 18 January and is directed against the Ministry of Finance and the Prosecutor General's Office. Further details of the lawsuit are not being disclosed, according to the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

In the course of the investigation, four persons were brought as defendants - K. Kanchev, A. Trenchev, K. Metodiev and T. Nikolov. The accusations are that in the period from 2018 to January 2023, the four participated in an organized criminal group established for a selfish purpose.
