"Until yesterday, we were in a campaign, we were political opponents, each looking for the best way to win the hearts of the voters. After we all took the oath, we are on one side - on the side of Sofia", said the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, after taking his oath, a BGNES reporter reported.
"We need to protect the interests of every citizen. Let's be wise in looking for long-term ideas that unite us. I will work with each one of you", said the new mayor. He expressed hope that everyone would find common ground. "Let the good ideas, regardless of where they come from, regardless of which group, know that they will find a way," added Vasil Terziev.
The new mayor stated that he will first get to know the administration in the municipality, see what the problems are and what the employees need. "One of the first tasks will be to clear the parking lot in front of the Church of Saint Nedelya. I will also fight against graffiti in the capital", commented the new mayor of Sofia. /BGNES
