Negotiations between GERB-UDF and WCC-DB have begun

In the Bulgarian National Assembly arrived the delegation of negotiators from the WCC-DB, led by outgoing Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov. It includes Kiril Petkov, Atanas Atanasov, Hristo Ivanov, Asen Vasilev.

Earlier, the GERB-UDG negotiators also arrived. Maria Gabriel and Raya Nazaryan entered individually. Temenuzhka Petkova and Denitsa Sacheva are also in the negotiating team.

At the entrance Atanasov from DB said "we will reach an agreement, be calm" and Raya Nazaryan from GERB commented that she expected dialogue.

GERB proposes a coalition agreement in the mandate of the 49th parliament, a sharing of ministers in the cabinet to be headed for another nine months by Maria Gabriel, while the WCC-DB stands by its memorandum with key priorities, including mechanisms to fill the regulators, reforms in the the judiciary, an uncompromising fight against corruption.

In recent days, a controversy has emerged over the GERB leader's demand to replace Finance Minister Asen Vasilev.

During today's Third National Conference of "Yes, Bulgaria", the party advocated a tied majority of WCC-DB and GERB-SDU, refusing floating majorities. And set 12 conditions for the rotation. Among them are filling the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) with publicly convincing figures; expanding the powers of parliamentary inquiry committees; a new Judiciary Law; and increasing efforts to join the Eurozone. /BGNES
