The former director of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) Stoyan Mavrodiev is a nationwide wanted man.
Mavrodiev was accused of embezzlement on a particularly large scale in connection with an unsecured loan of BGN 150 million granted by the BDB to a company related to Rumen Gaitanski-Valka (Bulgarian nickname, meaning "The Wolf - editor's note). The businessman has been remanded in custody after voluntarily surrendering a week ago. The third accused is lawyer Ivan Georgiev, for whom a bail of BGN 50,000 was imposed.
Nova TV informs that the search announced by the Ministry of Interior is at the request of the Commission for Combating Corruption after Mavrodiev was not found at his known addresses. | BGNES
