Immediately after the election Assoc. Kiselova thanked those who had supported her and those who had not. She stated that she would be the speaker for all, and compromises were a matter to be discussed.
Natalia Kiselova of the BSP garnered 140 votes in favour of her nomination as speaker of the 51st Bulgarian National Assembly, 98 were against, BGNES reports.
Toshko Yordanov of ITN asked for a revote.
And in the subsequent re-vote Natalia Kiselova was elected Speaker of the 51st National Assembly.
She was supported by 68 deputies from GERB-SDS, 35 from PP-DB, 34 from "Revival" voted against.
29 deputies from DPS-New Beginnings were also against. All 18 BSP deputies supported Kiselova. 19 from APS - also voted in favour, ITN were against, MEC - also against.
Silvi Kirilov also put his candidacy to a vote, in which 98 MPs voted in favour, 119 were against, 17 abstained.

The deputies elected seven deputy speakers of the National Assembly, BGNES reports.
They are: GERB - SDS - Raya Nazaryan, PP-DB - Atanas Atanasov, "Revival" - Tsoncho Ganev,
BSP - Dragomir Stoynev, APS - Khairi Sadakov, ITN - Nikoleta Kuzmanova, MED - Radostin Vassilev.
"DPS-New Beginnings" did not propose a candidate for deputy speaker.
