We expect the Prime Minister to inform the National Assembly in writing about the intentions, actions and actual state of affairs regarding the Lukoil case. And this should be done by Thursday evening, since on Friday the amendments to the Energy Act will be discussed in parliament and the president's veto will be overcome, and in both cases this affects the subject of "Lukoil Neftohim Burgas". This was stated in Targovishte by the co-chairman of the PG of the DPS, Delyan Peevski, after Prime Minister Denkov's statement to journalists in the Council of Ministers.
It is high time that the Prime Minister and the government inform the people's representatives about their relationship with the refinery and the payment or not of their taxes, by clearing up the contradictory information submitted by "Lukoil" that it will not fulfill its obligations to the budget, emphasized Peevski.
And one more thing - we don't think it's proper for those appointed by the parliament to comment on the quality of the laws adopted by the National Assembly, and we hope that this doesn't become a practice, Peevski replied to the Prime Minister.
If the Prime Minister thinks that there is a need for changes in the current laws, let the Council of Ministers propose them in the proper order, reminded the co-chairman of the PG of the DPS and commented: "Let it not turn out that the Parliament has adopted the right laws, and the Council of Ministers is doing a shoddy job the job".
This will become clear when and if the Ministry of Finance collects these over BGN 500 million in taxes from "Lukoil" and when people get back 73 cents per liter of fuel filled at gas stations, Peevski was categorical. /BGNES
