MFA: Bulgarians in Florida to follow instructions of local authorities due to Hurricane Milton

In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, the West Coast of the state of Florida has been lashed by heavy rains. A state of emergency has been declared for flood risk.

Several million households are without electricity, while in the city of In St Petersburgh, the water supply has also been cut off. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends Bulgarian citizens in the state of Florida to strictly follow the instructions of the local authorities and not to travel to the affected areas.

This is the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on the website of the department's situation centre.
