Meglena Kuneva is the Bulgarian candidate for Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, BGNES reported.
Her candidacy was presented by Deputy Minister Irena Dimitrova to diplomats from Council of Europe member countries accredited in Sofia. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Kuneva presented her views on the work of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights and answered questions from the diplomats of the member states of the organization accredited in Sofia.
Three candidates will fight for the post of secretary general of the organization - the current commissioner for justice Didier Reynders, the former president of Switzerland Alain Berse, and the Estonian Indrek Saar, minister of culture from 2015 to 2019. /BGNES
