Maria Gabriel unveils draft government, the Bulgarian Parliament has to approve it - UPDATED

The candidate for Prime Minister from GERB-UDF Maria Gabriel handed over a folder with the draft composition for the Council of Ministers to President Rumen Radev, BGNES reported.

President Rumen Radev issued a decree today and sent the proposed cabinet to the National Assembly for a vote.

During the negotiations, it became clear that we have a text of agreement in which we have no differences on the reform of the judicial system, regulators and the fight against corruption. In the last 9 months, the reforms that were made were because of GERB-UDF. I realize how great the responsibility is before me and how important it is for Bulgaria to have a stable government, Maria Gabriel told President Radev.

She returned the mandate fulfilled and read the composition of the cabinet, which they proposed:

A total of 12 ministers retain the seats they have held for the past 9 months. Gabriel herself retains her position in the foreign ministry and Nikolay Denkov becomes deputy prime minister for European affairs. New ministers are joining in health, education, ecology, e-government. Innovation and growth will be headed by the current speaker of parliament, while energy is being taken over by a GERB MP.
