London adjourned the case against the Bulgarian arrested on charges of spying for Russia

The trial in the UK scheduled for March 15 against Bulgarian citizen Tihomir Ivanchev, who was arrested on February 7 on charges of espionage for Russia, was postponed.

Tihomir Ivanov Ivanchev, 38, appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on February 28, where he was formally charged. He is believed to be part of a larger network of Bulgarians based in the UK who carried out surveillance on specific people and objects.

Five other Bulgarians - Orlin Rusev, Biser Jambazov, Kartin Ivanova, Ivan Stoyanov and Vanya Gaberova - were already arrested a year ago and are awaiting their trial, which is scheduled for October 28. It is known that Tihomir Ivanov, who has his own business as a painter in the London district of Acton, knew Vanya Gaberova. Ivanova was supposed to appear today, March 15, at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey), but the case has been postponed without any specific reason being given./BGNES
