Stanislav Genchev has been named as the new head coach of Krumovgrad, the newly promoted team in First League. He takes over the position previously held by Serbian coach Nemanja Miljanović, who was relieved of his duties following the team's 0:2 loss to Slavia yesterday.
"Krumovgrad has decided to part ways with Nemanja Miljanović. The club extends its gratitude to Mr. Miljanović for his year of service, acknowledging the successes achieved, and wishes him the best in his future endeavors. The new head coach of Krumovgrad is Stanislav Genchev," the club announced on its Facebook page.
In the previous season, Miljanović guided Krumovgrad to its first-ever promotion to Bulgaria's top football tier. The team started the current campaign impressively with a victory over champions Ludogorets. Krumovgrad also secured a win against CSKA 1948 and managed to get a draw against Levski. However, the team has registered just one win in its last eight matches.
Stanislav Genchev began the season as the head coach of Botev Plovdiv but was let go due to unsatisfactory results. In the previous season, he served as the head coach of Lokomotiv Sofia and has also held a managerial position at Ludogorets.
As of now, only five teams in the First League have retained their coaches since the start of the season: Cherno More, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Levski, Arda, and Hebar. /BGNES
