"Goodbye Paris! I fulfilled another dream of seeing Bulgaria at the Olympics with a medal in the individual". This is what the president of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, Iliana Raeva, wrote after the end of the Olympic Games in Paris.
In the French capital, Boryana Kalein finished in second place and won the first Olympic medal for Bulgaria in the individual competition since 1988, but the ensemble made a mistake in the final and finished in fourth position. "Thank you to the whole team and coaches for the work, strength and achievements, for the pride you make me feel! Thank God for the happiness and the great moments experienced at this Olympics! P.s. When we landed in Paris, I said to Branimira Markova: I miss you in my collection only a silver medal from the Olympics," added Raeva.
Tonight, the Bulgarian gymnasts return to Bulgaria on a flight that is expected to land in Sofia shortly before midnight. | BGNES
