SETTING THE GUARD AT THE TOMB OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
The next day after Friday, the high priests and the Pharisees gathered at Pilate and said: master, we remembered that the impostor had said during his lifetime: after three days I will rise again; therefore command that the tomb be kept until the third day, lest His disciples go by night and steal Him away and tell the people: He has risen from the dead.
And the last deception will be worse than the first. Pilate said to them: you have a guard, go, find as you know. They went and covered the tomb with a guard and sealed the stone. /BGNES
