High-ranking NATO general in meetings with the Bulgarian authorities

The Supreme Commander of NATO's Allied Transformation Command, General Philippe Lavin, arrives on a visit to Bulgaria. During his visit, General Lavin will meet with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, with the Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov, with the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev, and with the Defense Committee of the National Assembly.


The official part of the visit will begin with a meeting with the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov. The focus of the talks will be issues of mutual interest related to the process of defense planning of the Alliance, achieving interoperability, investments in collective defense, and in projects with multinational and common funding in which Bulgaria participates.

Rakovski" and the Center for Building, Researching and Improving NATO Capabilities for Crisis Management and Disaster Response in Sofia, which is under the methodological leadership of the Allied Transformation Command./BGNES
