Today is the last working day of the deputies of the 50th parliament, after which they go on summer vacation.
The official cabinet with Prime Minister Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva will be sworn in at an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on Tuesday.
This was announced from the parliamentary rostrum by the chairman of the meeting, Yordan Tsonev from the DPS.
"There will probably be an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday, August 20, to swear in the new cabinet, if the president issues the decree," Tsonev was quoted as saying by public radio.
BGNES reminds that today is the last working day of the deputies of the 50th parliament, after which they go on summer vacation. The deputies' holiday will be 18 days, and they will have to return to work on September 4.
Gorica Grancharova, appointed by President Rumen Radev as the next acting Prime Minister, received from him a deadline of August 19 to present the composition and structure of the Council of Ministers under her leadership.
For the elections to be held on October 20, the new cabinet must be sworn in before the National Assembly on August 20 at the latest.
The 50th National Assembly began work on June 19. Until now, the people's elected representatives had 40 working days and held 23 meetings.
It is expected that the people's representatives will have no more than 8 meetings, since on September 20 they have to go on another vacation. This time it will be pre-election.
A reference on the website of the National Assembly indicates that some of the 25 standing committees did not meet at all. Others held one meeting each, at which they only adopted regulations for their work. The Committee on Budget and Finance held the most meetings. Deputies have met in it 6 times.
