Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev proposes to change certain positions in the official cabinet, with Kiril Vatev being released from the post of Minister of Agriculture and Food and Georgi Takhov taking the position, the government press service reported.
In his proposal to President Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Glavchev cites as reasons for the change's failure to cope with official duties, as a result of which tension and dissatisfaction in the agrarian sector continue, without reaching the necessary legislative and administrative decisions with the necessary financial security, such as Ukrainian aid for farmers for 2024 and the still pending campaign on direct payments, which creates serious difficulties in the sector.
BGNES recalls that late on Monday, the acting Prime Minister sent the proposal to President Rumen Radev, proposing that Stefan Dimitrov be released as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Daniel Mitov take the post.
As reasons for the personal change, the Prime Minister points to the need for timely and responsible coordination and communication between cabinet members, on the one hand, and with allies and partners, on the other. /BGNES
