The President begins consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 49th National Assembly. The candidate for acting prime minister, Dimitar Glavchev, will be the first to arrive at the presidency today, reported a BGNES reporter.
Glavchev will present the composition of the Council of Ministers to the president. Once the composition becomes clear, Rumen Radev must appoint it by decree and schedule a date for early parliamentary elections.
In connection with the upcoming consultations with all PGs of the 49th National Assembly, "Continuing the change - Democratic Bulgaria" stated that they will not participate in the formation of the cabinet in any form and will not give political support to individual ministers. GERB also stated that they do not intend to offer experts for the interim government. This is also the request of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
On Thursday, the president held consultations with the Central Election Commission (CEC) during which it became clear that the CEC is ready for elections 2 in 1 on June 9. If the decision of the head of state is that the elections are not held on the same date, the vote for the national parliament will most likely be on June 23. /BGNES
