I have not proposed anything, communication with the president continues. I have no news to report.
This is what acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said to the waiting journalists on his way out of Bulgarian President's Office at "Dondukov" 2.
He arrived at the presidential institution for a meeting with Rumen Radev to discuss the proposals for changes in the composition of the Council of Ministers.
Until the president issues the decree, the old ministers are fulfilling their duties, said Glavchev.
BGNES reminds that the occasion for today's meeting between the president and acting prime minister is Glavchev's proposals for changes in the composition of the government, a week after his inauguration.
Glavchev suggested that the GERB-Union of Democratic Forces parliamentary group MP deputy and deputy chairman of the party, Daniel Mitov, take the post of foreign minister in place of the career diplomat and ambassador to Montenegro, Stefan Dimitrov.
The other replacement proposed by Glavchev is the Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev, who kept his post from the previous cabinet and in the official one. Glavchev proposes that the position be filled by Georgi Takhov, citing the continued tension and dissatisfaction in the Agriculture sector as reasons. GERB leader Boyko Borisov defined the requested replacement of Foreign Minister Stefan Dimitrov with Daniel Mitov as a coincidence.
On Wednesday, President Radev recalled that when he was appointing official offices, the parties could not think of such interference.
"I hope that Mr Glavchev realizes the damage to the cabinet and to the trust in the electoral process when he quickly fulfills the orders of his party leader," said Radev and emphasized that there are many diplomats with the qualities to be ministers.
On Thursday, the remarks continued, Mitov also made his first media comment from the sidelines of the parliament: "Prime Minister Glavchev called me first. I consulted with Boyko Borisov, I received full support from him", said Daniel Mitov and gave a request for readiness to take the post.
Dimitar Glavchev from Brussels said that he is ready for a dialogue with the president about the changes in the composition of the caretaker government, but stressed that if Radev does not issue a decree, the responsibility will be his.
The leader of the party, Boyko Borisov, spoke from Tutrakan on the subject, pointing out that when Radev was appointing official offices, he chose prominent political figures and recalled the office of Stefan Yanev and the position of deputy prime minister and minister held by Kornelia Ninova. /BGNES
