The party of former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov will not support the third mandate, it became clear after the nearly 3-hour meeting of TSP and GERB-UDF, BGNES reported.
Earlier, TSP presented to GERB-UDF its priorities in justice, energy, foreign policy, defence.
A total of 12 people attended the meeting from TSP, including Toshko Yordanov, Stanislav Balabanov, Pavela Miteva, Ivaylo Valchev, and only three from GERB - Rosen Zhelyazkov, Denitsa Sacheva and Temenuzhka Petkova.
At the end of the talks Toshko Yordanov said that the process of drafting a governance programme would be very easy because the two parties share the main priorities.
Rosen Zhelyazkov of GERB, however, said that any majority in the current parliament would lead to "very low legitimacy of the government, would create an opportunity for its volatility, as well as a prerequisite for strong puppetry, and would reduce the trust of the public."
Zhelyazkov pointed out that if GERB is not the first force in the next parliament, he will support the first party to form a cabinet.
Denitsa Sacheva stressed that the similarities in the positions of the two parties were already present in the first GERB-UDF mandate, which was not supported by TSP.
Sacheva thanked for the return of good tone and respect, but noted that she did not expect a stable majority in the current National Assembly.
"In these 66 votes there are also those of independent MPs. This creates risks," she said and called for the next elections to be the last early ones for the country. | BGNES
