GERB-UDF (GERB-Union of Democratic Forces) gave a clear statement through a declaration from the highest parliamentary tribune that either there will be a cabinet of shared responsibility or new elections.
We are ready to participate only in a government of shared responsibility. The second option is new early parliamentary elections. We are ready to take all the risks.
This was stated by Toma Bikov from GERB-UDF in a statement on behalf of the parliamentary group, immediately after the people's representatives from the 50th National Assembly were sworn in, reported BGNES.
"For us, there are two possible options - a maximally broad political coalition, a cabinet of shared political responsibility with a four-year plan that will have the approval of the political parties in the 50th National Assembly. The second option is early parliamentary elections, Bikov stated and emphasized that GERB-UDF are ready to put their party interest behind them, but only if they see that they have real partners for this decision. "I call on all parties in the National Assembly to take responsibility," said the deputy.
At the beginning of his declaration, he recalled the results of the elections. "The elections determined GERB-UDF as the first political force. The result brings us a huge responsibility to all citizens. This is a difficult task before all of us. The results clearly show that after four years of political confrontation, a large number of citizens did not vote, and others showed that the current form of government did not satisfy them. We declare our responsibility and offer a dialogue with all parties", Toma Bikov is categorical and called: "We are required to be humble, to be able to build structures and to take responsibility for the country". | BGNES
