"Today there are no ministers, no one in the plenary. They are provoking elections. The future prime minister had to be in the plenary today with Denkov." This is what GERB leader Boyko Borisov told the media in Bucharest, where he participated in the EPP congress.
Bulgaria's National Assembly earlier today accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Acad. Nikolay Denkov and the Council of Ministers with 216 votes in favor.
The resignation is part of the commitment for rotation between GERB and WCC-DB, which states that after the resignation of Nikolai Denkov and the ministers, the Prime Minister should become Maria Gabriel from GERB and a new staff of the Council of Ministers should be elected.
But GERB believes that Denkov resigned too soon.
"I don't see why they treated everyone in parliament in this arrogant way. PM Nikolay Denkov came, threw in his resignation and left so he would not participate in the debates. I ask my "non-coalition: partners - is this how a government is defended, is this how criticism is answered", Boyko Borisov asked.
With this behaviour today they sent us into the hands of President Rumen Radev. Everything now depends on him," Borisov said. /BGNES
