As long as Borisov and Peevski manage GERB and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), we will not enter into coalitions with these parties. We will not work together because we have a fundamentally different idea of how the country should develop in the future.
You see they are trying to take us back to the "lean pizza" model. In the last three years, we have proven that Bulgarian incomes can reach European incomes three times faster. If we keep this pace, in 10 years we will have average European incomes." This was stated by the co-chairman of "Continuing the Change" Asen Vassilev in Plovdiv, on May 27.
He noted that when the money from taxes reaches all people, municipalities, companies, and the Bulgarian economy develops, the levels of GDP to debt fall, and added: "The old model that brought us to inequality - 1 million people being under the threshold of poverty, like Cameroon and the Central African Republic, with the clubs to the companies, with the "lean pizza" for the Bulgarian people, we will not allow it.
The other co-chairman of the PP, Kiril Petkov, noted that if Bulgarians were asked today if they like the judicial system, if they feel there is justice, 80% would answer "No". - "There is no way to make Bulgaria a Central European and rich country without these institutions working. That is why in our program we note that the appointments in the judiciary, the prosecutor's office, and the regulators must be made through fair competitions. For this to happen, Peevski and Borisov must lose their power right now. Therefore, I confirm that we cannot work with Peevski and Borisov, because they will not be ready to part with this power. And without changes in these institutions, we cannot have a prosperous country," explained Petkov.
Until recently, the Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov stated that due to the intervention of Peevski and Borisov in the health and education sectors, progress there is slow.
In recent years, there has been great attention to education and health care - every year the salary has increased by 10-15%, but the quality has not increased, Academician Nikolay Denkov is categorical.
GERB is a big party and there are many names for prime ministers, while "We continue the change" what will they do after Laurer, Minkov, Hazarda leave. Since they don't want to form a coalition with the Euro-Atlantic parties, then they should do with "Vazrazhdane", but they can't because the Batkovites will fight with them.
This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov at a meeting with members and sympathizers of the party in Razgrad, reported the BGNES correspondent from the city.
Boyko Borisov commented on the statement of We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) co-chairman Asen Vassilev that "as long as Borisov and Peevski are at the head of GERB and MRF, they will not form a coalition with these parties".
The GERB leader regretted that he had done a lot of stupid things by trusting the WCC-DB, with whom he was a coalition partner, but this was done in the name of the stability of the state in order to "have peace of mind".
Borisov stressed that the behavior and speech of the WCC-DB is irresponsible, the party of Vassilev and Petkov does not take any account of its words. "They saw their failure everywhere. Their only chance is to become a sharp opposition, fight against the new government and destabilize the country, and possibly after 3-4 more elections the West will bring us together again. This is their tactic, but it is detrimental to Bulgaria," Borisov is categorical.
The leader of GERB compared the attempts of the WCC-DB to ride the law enforcement authorities with the actions of a street brigade that seeks to drain important information from State Agency for National Security (SANS) and the economic police with which to racketeer.
Borisov is adamant that currently, with their actions, the WCC-DB is saying that Bulgaria does not interest them, and their dreams are reduced only to getting a prosecutor, a police officer and usurping power, even though they do not have the necessary public support for a majority. "But we're telling them that's not going to happen," he stressed.
Borisov stated that the upcoming elections for the European Parliament and local parliament are of extreme importance. "I have been prime minister many times. I've been in everything three times, that's enough for a biography," Borisov said and addressed his supporters who want him to be the head of the government again. “I take it you want to tease them. They know that I will still be more successful than them as prime minister. But this can only be done as a last resort, if we have a large majority," stressed Borissov.
He stated that it is now that GERB has shown that it is a real party after 3 years of harassment and bullying. "Now I can name 20 people who will become prime ministers and will be better than Denkov, etc.," added Borisov.
He stressed that "every MP from above or every MP from below" will enable stable governance. "If we don't have a stable majority, I will not accept such responsibility," Borissov said and called for mobilization: Get 1 million, 900,000 people to vote. Then we can go out and say we can govern. "We will figure out who will be the prime minister," he added.
Boyko Borisov filed a complaint with the Central Election Commission and it obliged the regional governors to remove the propaganda of Nikolay Denkov and Borisov from the billboards on the highways in the country. He emphasized that even GERB does not allow him to be put on posters. The point of the poster is who you want to be your prime minister.
"Denkov doesn't wear Kiril Petkov, he doesn't wear Asen Vassilev, you didn't wear Hristo. You got me. And because when the miners chased him, Peevski helped him, putting him on the other side as well. With such backs, how can you not be prime minister," Borissov said.
He recalled that Denkov owes his premiership to him... and to MRF. "But above all to me, because we gave him 69 MPs to become prime minister. They had about 60, which decreased because they ran away, half were on DB, so Denkov was prime minister with 35 MPs. Say thank you?”
Borisov again rejected the baseless accusations against the Balkan Stream gas pipeline. He recalled that during his time our country built the most modern and most powerful gas transmission system in Bulgaria with 80% of the compressor stations in the entire region.
"Balkan Stream" is yours, 100% Bulgarian property and earns nearly 1 billion a year. Its life cycle is 75 years. Of these, we will pay a billion for its construction in 3 years, and during the remaining 72 years the Bulgarians will receive 1 billion per year. And unlike in Serbia, where the pipe is 50% owned by "Gazprom", here with us it is 100% yours and you have no intermediaries. That's what Borisov did, that's what GERB did," emphasized Boyko Borisov. /BGNES
