While GERB ruled everything was in Bulgaria, a regional leader. We were an example of zero migration.
This was stated by GERB leader Boiko Borisov in Burgas, BGNES reported.
What has changed from what I and my colleagues have done for the last four years, Borisov asked. He announced that he would bring back the remediation program.
"When we governed, good neighborliness was brought up as a priority for Bulgaria, because everyone wins, it's good for everyone in the Balkans," Borisov also stated and ordered the mayors to promise this as a policy in meetings with voters during the upcoming election campaign.
In view of the border of the Burgas region with the Republic of Turkey, Borisov spoke about the voices in Europe for the migrants to return.
"We were an example of zero migration. We cannot do this without Turkey. The contract with Botas is not good when you have incompetent governments. I am a person who respects contracts, and that's why when we talk to North Macedonia, we say, neighbors, keep your contract! But anyway we are paying hundreds of millions, I will immediately regulate the process and we will not allow illegal migration to Bulgaria and we will save you again!", Borisov declared.
And he continued: "Croatia was learning from me about entering the Eurozone, where we are now." There was no highway ready in Romania, now it's a fairy tale, and four years with us - nothing. Take your pick! If now there is no high voter turnout, if now the Bulgarians do not understand what is happening, here is Vucic - they made protests, gave lithium... The Serbs are already ahead of us, and we will remain fighting senselessly with North Macedonia".
The leader of GERB reminded: "In the assembly, I was the guarantor that the change of the Constitution would happen to them. GERB, WCC-DB and MRF are responsible for this constitution and these official governments, because we changed the Constitution. We are responsible, that's the truth."
According to Borisov, a stable government must be formed after October 27:
"If we do not establish a stable management of Bulgaria, it will be taken lightly, we will also scare the partners. Therefore, I call on the Bulgarians to come out and vote".
He announced that he will convene the Executive Committee of GERB, which will decide whether leading mayors of the party will be elevated to list leaders.
