Evelin Banev-Brendo, an Interpol Red Notice wanted person, has surrendered to the police

Internationally wanted man Evelin Banev-Brendo voluntarily surrendered to the police this morning around 7:30.

Brendo will be handed over to the Bulgarian General Directorate for the Execution of Punishments.

 BGNES reminds that, according to official data, Banev was hiding after the 6-year effective sentence pronounced against him in our country. In this regard, in 2018 he was declared a national wanted person, and subsequently, a European Arrest Warrant was issued against him. He was declared with the Red Bulletin and for international search and temporary detention with the purpose of extradition to the Republic of Bulgaria in the event that he is found on the territory of any member state of the Interpol. Meanwhile, the convict was located in the Republic of Ukraine. He has been detained there since 09/08/2021. until 21.09.2021, when he was released by a court decision in view of the Ukrainian citizenship he had acquired in the meantime.
