The talks of Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva, elected by the President as caretaker prime minister, with potential candidates for caretaker ministers in the new cabinet are continuing.
Its main goal is to organise and hold fair and transparent early parliamentary elections in October.
BGNES reminds that Grancharova met yesterday with Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. After their meeting Stoyanov commented that Grancharova was "under brutal political pressure". Asked whether he thought she would keep her post, the interior minister admitted that she was unlikely to continue in the next cabinet.
At the moment, three ministers - Atanas Zapryanov, Georgi Gvozdeykov and Naiden Todorov - have already expressed their desire to remain at the head of the line ministries - defence, transport and culture.
Grancharova has until August 19 to present a draft government. The next caretaker cabinet must be sworn in on August 20 so that elections can be held on October 20. According to the constitution, elections must be held within two months of the swearing-in of the caretaker cabinet. I BGNES
