Dimitar Glavchev remains acting prime minister, he will receive the mandate from Radev today

Dimitar Glavchev will have to propose a new composition of the Council of Ministers or leave the same ministers.

In continuation of the constitutional procedure for the appointment of a caretaker government, President Rumen Radev appoints Dimitar Glavchev as a candidate for caretaker prime minister.

In fulfilment of the procedure on Wednesday, the head of state held talks with those defined in Art. 99, para. 5 of the Constitution, persons who can be appointed acting Prime Minister.

Already today, the president will receive the candidate for caretaker prime minister in the presidential institution to task him with proposing the composition of a caretaker government.

BGNES recalls that on Wednesday Rumen Radev spoke at "Dondukov" 2 with the other officials from whom, according to the changes in the Constitution, he can choose an acting prime minister. From the governor of the BNB, Dimitar Radev, to the deputy chairman of the Audit Chamber, Toshko Todorov - everyone refused. A telephone conversation was also held with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, who also reaffirmed her earlier refusal.

The only one who had declared his readiness was Petar Chobanov, one of the deputy managers of the National Bank.

In July, Andrey Gyurov was removed from the BNB because he participated in several companies, which is a violation of the law.

BGNES also recalls that the re-election of Dimitar Glavchev came about after the head of state refused to sign a decree to form a government with Prime Minister Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva due to the presence of Kalin Stoyanov in it because he could not guarantee holding fair elections.

For his part, Kalin Stoyanov, who in the meantime received a personal invitation from the chairman of the PG of the DPS Delyan Peevski to head the list in his party, insisted on remaining in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"For the moment, I believe that it is right to remain in office, as there are all sorts of attempts to control the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As the head of the security department, I would not go against any institution. My raised fist has nothing to do with that of Radev years ago. I have congratulated police officers many times with this gesture," the caretaker minister said on Wednesday.

Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva reported pressure to acting chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov.

In the current cabinet, Dimitar Glavchev, in addition to being prime minister, is also minister of foreign affairs. Now he will have to re-propose a government composition or keep the current one. The deputies of the 50th National Assembly are on vacation. | BGNES
