This was stated by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev at the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Sofia, a BGNES reporter reported.
Bulgaria's membership in the Alliance has inspired generations of Bulgarians and stimulated important reforms and prosperity, the prime minister stressed.
"NATO is a guarantor of our security and prosperity. In the face of Russian aggression against Ukraine, we must remain strongly committed to supporting Kyiv," Dimitar Glavchev said.
The Prime Minister indicated that key decisions will be taken at the Alliance summit in Washington to allow the Allies to defend "every centimetre".
Glavchev expects the creation of a long-term mechanism with stable funding to help Ukraine.
"Improving the interoperability of the Ukrainian armed forces will create a bridge to Ukraine's membership in NATO in the future," he added, stressing that Bulgaria will support Ukraine as long as necessary. /BGNES
