Representative military units of the Bulgarian Army will hold military rituals on June 2, which will honor the memory of the Bulgarian poet-revolutionary Hristo Botev and those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria.
This year marks 148 years since the heroic death of Hristo Botev (1848 - 1876) and his company on Mount Okolchitsa in Stara Planina.
On the Day of honor to the memory of Hristo Botev and those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria, June 2 at 12 o'clock, the siren system will be activated for 2 minutes. When the signal is given, all pedestrians and road vehicles in the populated areas of the country should stop moving on the streets and squares, remaining in place.
In the hometown of Hristo Botev Kalofer, on June 2, with a military ritual, the flag of the Botev regiment will be taken out of the museum and flowers will be laid in front of the poet's monument.
From 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a ritual reading "In the Pantheon of Freedom" will be held in front of the Vasil Levski monument (Vasil Levski Blvd.). Students from metropolitan schools read the poetry of Hristo Botev.
From 11.30 a.m. in front of the monument of Hristo Botev in the Boris Garden in Sofia, an official ceremony will be held. /BGNES
