Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel will meet with UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron. During their talks today at the Council of Ministers, issues of bilateral interest will be discussed.
Lord Cameron, Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, arrives in Sofia today on a state visit. The visit takes place at the invitation of Maria Gabriel in the context of the enhanced political dialogue between the two countries in the last half a year.
The Foreign Ministry recalls that during the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel in October 2023 in London, a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom was signed. In January 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel and Lord Cameron held a meeting in the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
