The deputy from the GERB-UDF group in the parliament and deputy chairman of the GERB party Daniel Mitov is ready to take over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BGNES reported.
"Official Prime Minister Glavchev called me first. I consulted with Boyko Borisov, I received full support from him", said Daniel Mitov on the occasion of the reshuffle at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his nomination.
Mitov explained that Glavchev was unable to work with the initial choice for Minister of Foreign Affairs - Stefan Dimitrov. That is why he sought an opportunity to guarantee a clear foreign policy based on a pro-Atlantic profile.
"I am ready for the post. However, my big disappointment is with PP-DB. The logic of their statements follows that of Radev. With the changes in the Constitution, at the insistence of the PP-DB, the official cabinet is now completely dependent on the parliament. The prime minister should seek support here," commented Mitov.
According to him, instead of defending the logic of the changes in the Constitution, they are concerned with whose government this is.
"If the president agrees, we will say that GERB bears responsibility in the Foreign Ministry," stressed Mitov.
The deputy also commented that if the appointment of a foreign minister is delayed, the preparation of elections abroad will be delayed. /BGNES
