CSKA beat Levski in the 162nd edition of the Bulgaria’s Classic Derby

CSKA defeated Levski 2:0 in the 162nd edition of the Eternal Derby, reported BGNES. At the "Vasil Levski" National Stadium, the "Reds" showed a better game than the opponent and congratulated themselves with the three points after the goals of Tobias Heinz and Fernando Karanga.

In front of the new president of the Bulgarian Football Union and former player of the "Blues" Georgi Ivanov - Gonzo, CSKA started the match more actively, but without creating who knows what kind of tension in front of the goal of Ivan Andonov, who replaced under the frame of Levski Plamen Andreev. Andonov still had to intervene when Matias Phaeton's cross was attempted, and on the other side, Nikolay Kostov's alumni had claims for a penalty for Gustavo Busato's foul on Patrick-Gabriel Galchev. Nestor El Maestro's men got the ball into the net in the 14th minute through Jonathan Lindseth, but the Norwegian's goal was rightly disallowed for Lindseth's handball. By the end of the half, the "armies" were better on the field, but without a result. There was also tension in the stands, with A and G sectors firing rockets at each other, leading to the arrival of ambulances, but the police eventually brought the situation under control.

That changed after about an hour of play. Andonov made a blunder, and after several times before getting out after clumsy attempts to clear the ball, this time he blundered fatally. The ball fell to the feet of Tobias Heinz, who with a very precise execution scored into the empty goal. El Maestro and company could have decided it all soon after, but Lindseth failed out of an advantageous situation. On the other side, Levski's players had a hard time finding a way to Busato's goal. The second goal for CSKA came in the 77th minute, and its author was Fernando Karanga, who made an addition after saving Andonov. The "Blues" got away with a third goal after a miss by Scarshem, and in stoppage time the crossbar stopped the "Reds" from another goal, with the reserve Danilo Asprilia beating Andonov, but no luck.

Thus, Levski suffered a second loss in a row this week after the heavy defeat by Ludogorets with 1:5 in Razgrad. The "Blues" are fourth, one point ahead of fifth-placed Lokomotiv Pd. CSKA avenged their loss to the Smurfs during the week and are back, albeit temporarily, in second place with 60 points, three behind Ludogorets, who however have two games in hand.

In the next round, the "Reds" host Pirin Blagoevgrad, while Levski visits Black Sea at "Ticha" in Varna. /BGNES
