The Central Election Commision (CEC) received information from all the Municipal Election Commission (MECs) that the pre-election day started at 7:00 a.m. and is proceeding normally. To date, 7 complaints and 5 reports have been submitted to the CEC. This was stated by CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva, BGNES reported.
"One of the complaints is against a decision of the Sofia Municipal Election Commission (MEC). There are several alerts for preliminary data and results. We have received several signals and I want to call on the Sectional Election Commissions (SEC) to put one stamp on the printed ballots from the machine voting and two stamps on the paper ballots," she added.
CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva urged the voters not to pull the paper ballots from the machine, but to wait for the sound signal.
The total voter turnout for the country as of 11 am is 9.18%. The highest it is in the municipality of Malko Tarnovo - 45.73% and the lowest - in Plovdiv - 3.86%. "Machine voting has been suspended with 20 machines", she announced and commented that there are defective machines - 2 in Varna, 1 in Dobrich and 1 in Veliko Tarnovo and in Ruse, and according to her, the remaining 16 machines received various messages such as the main fault is that they don't read the software or they don't read the flash drives. /BGNES
