Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev accepted the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs from Stefan Dimitrov.
In the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Glavchev also held a working meeting with the management staff of the ministry.
"I rely on your professionalism in daily work", the Prime Minister pointed out and singled out the holding of fair elections as a leading priority of the office.
For the first time, our Foreign Ministry will hold two elections in one - for the national and for the European Parliament, which is an additional prerequisite for serious mobilization.
Within the framework of the meeting, Prime Minister Glavchev also announced the nomination of Ivan Kondov for Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his order for appointment to the post is to be signed as soon as possible. Svetlan Stoev will be appointed permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
BGNES reminds us that Dimitar Glavchev is the second acting Prime Minister who also became acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the most recent political history of Bulgaria.
Svetlan Stoev was foreign minister in two successive offices - those of Stefan Yanev.
Ivan Kondov was appointed acting minister in Galab Donev's cabinet from May 2023 in place of Nikolay Milkov, who became Bulgaria's ambassador to NATO. /BGNES
