The Bulgarian ensemble defended its all-around title at the 40th European Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vasileva were outstanding in both their performances. The graduates of Vesela Dimitrova and Yasena Stoineva, who are European all-around champions from Baku 2023, received the extremely high score of 39,150 points for their composition with five hoops, reports BFHG.
On three lanes and two balls, the Bulgarians also played great and were rated with 34.850 points. So they collected 74,000 points and took the gold honors for the second year in a row. Italy came in second with 71.200 (38.900 on five hoops and 32.300 on three bands/two balls), and Spain came in third with 71.200 (36.750 and 34.450). In addition, Bulgaria defended its team title with 343,150 points, ahead of Italy and Israel. The team consists of a women's ensemble, Stiliyana Nikolova, Boryana Kalein and Elvira Krasnobaeva.
So far from the championship, the country has five medals. Stiliyana Nikolova won the women's all-around title, the ensemble also became the all-around champion, and we are also first in the team. Dara Malinova took silver on ribbon and Magdalena Valkova bronze on ball in the finals of the girls' individual apparatus.
Today, the European Championship ends with the finals of the women's individual apparatus and ensembles with the participation of Boryana Kalein, Stiliyana Nikolova, Elvira Krasnobayeva and the ensemble. /BGNES
