Bulgarian President Radev: Peevski's accusation is a low-level conspiracy, he is nervous

I have long stated that I do not interfere in the internal affairs of any party, so I will not allow myself to be involved in such sleazy conspiracies and media smokescreens. This was stated by President Rumen Radev on the occasion of the accusation by the chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Delyan Peevski that the head of state is splitting the Movement, reported a BGNES reporter.

When you have ambitions to rule the whole country, but you cannot rule your own party, it is normal to be nervous, added the president.

According to him, "For too long, the media has occupied us with the personal worries and unrest of the gentleman in question, which are presented to us as some kind of public issue." It is not a public issue, but a personal drama that is coming to an end, Radev believes.

When asked about Peevski's words that Radev wanted a new speaker of the parliament to be the next acting prime minister, the president replied: "I cannot comment on other people's fantasies. I do not participate in conspiracies."

BGNES reminds that earlier today the chairman of the MRF Delyan Peevski accused "Mr Cash" of splitting the Movement. According to him, "there is Mr Cash's MRF because the others are pawns" and "there is Peevski's MRF." "There is no other MRF. The others are Radev's employees," he said and emphasized: "The president is the boss and commands everyone." Peevski also announced that yesterday the head of state tried "through his pawns from the We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB)" to organize the overthrow of the Speaker of the Parliament Raya Nazaryan. |BGNES
