Bulgarian President Radev: Our so-called Euro-Atlanticians are cowards

The campaign is now dominated by the fact that the political parties themselves are losing the trust of the voters - they are in an impasse, which they created with their coalitions, with the violation of all promises to the citizens, and with this nonsense with the Bulgarian Constitution, the president also said.

It is inappropriate for the Bulgarian government to show hesitation and inconsistency if we are co-authors of a position for a UN resolution. In this regard, all facts and circumstances must be established.

This is what President Rumen Radev said, BGNES reported.

When we refocused the attention of the EU and European leaders on human rights and their violation, another government came and decided to erase this position. So really, Bulgaria must be clear and consistent and affirm democratic values in our region, added Radev.

There is absolutely no change in Bulgaria's position, added Radev.

When asked whether he or Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will represent Bulgaria at the NATO meeting, Radev commented that this decision is made by the Council of Ministers. "I have already shared what my stated position will be if I represent Bulgaria. This is an existential summit, decisions on war and peace are made at it. However, the very legitimacy of the IC must also be taken into account - let's not forget that it is the product of a parliament obtained with extremely low voter turnout and with catastrophically low trust from Bulgarian citizens - less than 10%," said Radev.

Every day you can see the hesitation of the Bulgarian citizens regarding the elections, and it comes from the inability of the parties to convince them to stand behind some rational cause. The campaign is now dominated by the fact that the political parties themselves are losing the trust of the voters - they are in an impasse, which they themselves created with their coalitions, with the violation of all promises to the citizens, and with this nonsense with the Bulgarian Constitution, the president also said.

I hope Bulgarians realize that we are living in a challenging time in all aspects. And our security, economic development, etc. depend on people's activity. Apparently, manipulation is becoming a permanent feature in Bulgarian politics - we see how my words are being twisted, and the whole situation regarding the war in Ukraine, and NATO's participation in this conflict at all levels is an open secret at all levels that is becoming more and more obvious. This involvement is deepening and risks uncontrolled escalation - and nuclear Armageddon. And all the speculation on this subject is aimed at lulling public opinion. I categorically never stated that Bulgaria has decided to pay its troops in Ukraine. Our so-called Euro-Atlanticians are cowards and incapable of such a decision on their own because they know very well that they will be ostracized and rejected by society, just as they tried to cancel March 3 as a national holiday. Otherwise, they would gladly send all Bulgarians to fight at the front. This is how they hide their false Euro-Atlantic facade because they are very far from Euro-Atlantic and democratic values, and they try to cover up their lack, putting both our country and Europe at risk. I hope the Bulgarian politicians will understand that until now two red lines restrained the uncontrolled escalation of this war: the first - is the limitation of the geographical scope of the war only on Ukrainian soil, and the second - not allowing a direct clash of NATO soldiers and Russia. With the decision to enable an attack with Western weapons deep into Russia, and with the payment of advisors and instructors on the front line itself, these two red lines have already been crossed. Our politicians become part of these inadequate actions with all the consequences, concluded Radev. I BGNES
