According to para. 5 of Art. 99 of the Constitution, the head of state Rumen Radev signed today a decree for the appointment of an caretaker government of the Republic of Bulgaria in a composition proposed by Prime Minister-designate Dimitar Glavchev.
President Radev scheduled the elections for members of the European Parliament from the Republic of Bulgaria and early parliamentary elections for June 9, 2024.
Later today, Head of State Rumen Radev and Vice President Iliana Yotova will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the caretaker government, which will take place in the National Assembly.
