Bulgarian President Rumen Radev appointed the acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev as the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Georgi Tahov as the acting Minister of Agriculture and Food.
The changes in the composition of the caretaker government are based on Glavchev's proposals.
With the same decree, the head of state dismissed Stefan Dimitrov from the position of acting minister of foreign affairs, and Kiril Vatev - from the position of acting minister of agriculture and food.
BGNES reminds that a week ago, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev requested the replacement of Stefan Dimitrov. First, he proposed the deputy chairman of GERB Daniel Mitov for the position, who resigned after several criticisms and accusations of political influence. The Prime Minister announced that there was no plan B and decided to take over this position himself. President Rumen Radev, however, gave him time until today to think and consult with experts.
It is expected that today the head of state will issue two decrees - for the replacement of the minister of foreign affairs and for the replacement of the minister of agriculture, which was also a proposal from the prime minister. All this against the background of the last working week of the 49th National Assembly. Deputies have three more working days before they go out first on Easter, and then on pre-election vacation./BGNES
