Bulgarian President Radev begins consultations with the parties before handing over the government mandate

On Monday and Tuesday, President Rumen Radev will hold consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 49th National Assembly. This is in accordance with Art. 99, para. 1 of the Constitution.

Meetings with representatives of GERB-Union of Democratic Forces (GERB-UDF), We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) and Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) are scheduled for today.

Tuesday will be a day for the opposition of "Dondukov" 2. Then the president will meet with "Vazrazhdane" political party, with Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and with "There is Such People" political party.

BGNES reminds that intense negotiations took place over the weekend between the GERB-UDF and WCC-DB groups to form a government. On the part of GERB, an agreement was put on the table, which would turn the "loose-fit", as they call the agreement with WCC-DB, into a coalition. WCC-DB proposed a memorandum with a mechanism for appointments in the State regulatory bodies.

On the part of GERB-UDF, an all-female team consisting of Maria Gabriel, Raya Nazaryan, Temenuzka Petkova and Denitsa Sacheva took part in the negotiations, while WCC-DB was represented by an all-male team consisting of Nikolay Denkov and the leaders of WCC-DB Kiril Petkov, Hristo Ivanov Atanas Atanasov and Asen Vassilev. /BGNES
