Bulgarian PM Glavchev in New York: The most important thing is to ensure a good future for the next generations

The pact for the future is a fact, despite the attempts of Russia and several other countries with procedural grips to torpedo it.

This was stated by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to the media in New York, where he participated in the Summit for the Future, the government press service reported.

The forum is the main event during the so-called A high-level UN week in which heads of state and government from around the world participate. The prime minister pointed out that the attempt to insert an additional text on the so-called sovereignty into the key document met the impressive resistance of 143 countries and only 7 supported it.

Prime Minister Glavchev also highlighted the importance of the two annexes to the Pact for the Future - the Declaration for Future Generations and the Global Digital Compact. They pay particular attention to creating opportunities for the well-being of young people and harnessing the potential of digital technologies for peace and development. The most important thing is to ensure a good future for the next generations based on peace and security, Glavchev emphasized. However, according to the prime minister, it is important that as many countries as possible unite, because peace and security are currently seriously threatened. The environment has changed a lot in this aspect, added the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev congratulated Bulgarian citizens on the occasion of Independence Day and delivered a message of freedom, independence and unity. I believe that politicians should also work in this direction, the Prime Minister also stated. I BGNES
