Bulgarian PM Glavchev convenes meeting on state measures for the safety of Bulgarians in Lebanon

Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev is calling a meeting in the Council of Ministers today regarding the measures of the Bulgarian state for the safe removal of our compatriots from Lebanon.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Secretariat of the Security and Services Council will participate.

On the instructions of the Prime Minister, a working group was created in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which includes representatives of other institutions, whose main task is to coordinate and propose the most suitable option for the removal of Bulgarian citizens and their family members from Lebanon. The prime minister's instructions are a full mobilization of the state in the interest of preserving the life and health of Bulgarian citizens.

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Beirut and through the "Situation Center" Directorate is in constant contact with all Bulgarian citizens and their family members who have expressed a desire to receive assistance for their return to Bulgaria. The working group through the embassies in Beirut, Tel Aviv and other diplomatic missions in the region will provide the necessary assistance for the safe evacuation of Bulgarian citizens.
