Bulgarian PM Glavchev at European Council: North Macedonia should implement its commitments

The Republic of North Macedonia should implement the commitments it has made in order to progress on the path towards the European Union. This is what Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at the European Council. The prime minister brought the issue to the attention of his European counterparts in Brussels in connection with the developments in the Republic of North Macedonia in recent weeks.

Glavchev drew attention to the serious challenges that are emerging in terms of the European perspective of the EU candidate country. The Heads of State and Government reiterated the importance of good neighbourly relations, the need for the EU candidate countries to strictly implement their commitments to the EU and the necessary reforms.
