At the beginning of the new year 2024, the Bulgarian National Bank released four gold commemorative coins "Holy Mother of God - Golden Apple" into circulation. In the early hours of the day, there were no long queues of people who wanted to buy the coins, reported a BGNES reporter.
The denominations of the coins are BGN 10, BGN 20, BGN 50 and BGN 100, the 100 BGN coin will be sold for BGN 5,057, the BGN 50 coin will be sold for BGN 3,823, the BGN 20 coin will be sold for BGN 2,611, and the 10 BGN coin will be sold for BGN 1,438.
On the obverse side of the coin, in the center, there is the emblem of the BNB with the year "1879" on the band, in a semicircle above the inscription "Bulgarian National Bank", and below the issue year "2024" and the nominal value "10/20/50/100 BGN" ".
On the reverse side of the coin is an image of the icon "St. Mother of God - Golden Apple", and on both sides of it are written "Holy Mother of God" and "Golden Apple".
The coins will be sold at the Bulgarian National Bank - at two cash desks in Sofia and four cash desks at the Cash Center of the BNB in Sofia, which is located at 10 "Mikhail Tenev" Street.
In the period from January 2 to 4, 2024 inclusive, each customer will be able to purchase from the Bulgarian National Bank up to 2 coins of each type, after which the commemorative coins "St. The Virgin - Golden Apple" will be sold without restrictions.
By the end of the working day on January 2, 2024, the new coins will be provided by the BNB to First Investment Bank AD, Teksim Bank AD, Tokuda Bank AD and Central Cooperative Bank AD for sale in their offices and branches./BGNES
