Bulgarian National Assembly President Zhelyazkov: Bulgaria and Vietnam will exchange experience in science and technology

We must give Bulgarian and Vietnamese citizens good opportunities for economic cooperation, exchange of experience and training in various fields of science and technology.

This was stated by the President of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov during the meeting with the Secretary of the Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Quang Ninh Province and the Chairman of the People's Council of Nguyen Xuan Ky Province at the Headquarters of the District Party Committee.

"It is a pleasure and a great honor for me to be a guest of one of the most colorful provinces of Vietnam, which combines the wisdom of history and the novelties of modern times," said Zhelyazkov.

He noted that the geographical distance between Bulgaria and Vietnam has never been an obstacle to the sincere and warm relations between the citizens of the two countries.

"The role of us, the politicians, is to translate these good emotions of our citizens and give them good opportunities for economic cooperation, for the exchange of experience and training in various fields of science and technology," emphasized the chairman of the National Assembly.

For his part, Nguyen Xuan Ky stated:

"The joint declaration of 2013, as well as the bilateral documents signed during the visit to Bulgaria by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, are an excellent basis for the development and deepening of cooperation between our two countries."

"I am confident that soon we will be able to boast of the good results of the fruitful high-level contacts, including between the legislative institutions of the two countries," he added.
