The former head of the bankrupt KTB (Corporate Commercial Bank - the bank that went bankrupt and Vassilev ran in exile - editor's note) Tsvetan Vassilev will be heard at a meeting of the temporary parliamentary commission to verify facts and circumstances regarding the existence of unregulated influence in the justice system and commitments of representatives of the judiciary, incompatible with the standards of independence and professional ethics, the group's activities around Martin Bojanov - the Notary and the activities of the group around former investigator Petyo Petrov - Euroto.
It is not yet clear whether Vassilev will be heard via video link - as he participated in the hearings on the KTB bankruptcy cases - or whether he will be present in person. 10 years after the bankruptcy of the bank, Vassilev is in Belgrade, and cannot be extradited to Bulgaria. If he crosses the state line of entry, however, he will be arrested.
About a week ago, MP Zlatan Zlatanov from "Vazrazhdane" reported that after his call for assistance with information about the temporary commission investigating the criminal groups led by Martin Bojanov - "The Notary" and Petyo Petrov - "The Euro", it was Tsvetan Vassilev who responded. Vassilev has sent a letter to him in which he expresses his desire to cooperate with the committee. He informed that he had learned from the media about Zlatanov's proposal, in his capacity as deputy chairman of the commission, for his hearing.

At the previous meeting of the commission, the chairman of the parliamentary group of the MRF, Delyan Peevski, did not appear at the hearing, which forced the We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria coalition (WCC-DB) to send written questions to him.
On Wednesday, the prosecutor's collegium at the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) decided to send all the documents collected for the influence group in the judicial system of Martin Bojanov-The Notary to the temporary parliamentary committee on "The Notary" and "Pepi The Euro".
After Bojanov's murder in late January, the Judicial and Prosecutorial College of the Supreme Judicial Council undertook a series of hearings and document analysis in an attempt to determine whether he had traded justice with the help of prosecutors, investigators and judges.
