Bulgaria will not send military personnel to the territory of Ukraine, reported BGNES, referring to the position of the Ministry of Defense.
"A decision on the participation of Bulgarian troops in operations outside the territory of our country can only be taken by the National Assembly," the Ministry of Defense states and emphasizes:
"Such a proposal was never on the agenda."
The Ministry of Defense recalls that, in compliance with a decision of the National Assembly, our country applied for participation in a training mission of the European Union to assist Ukraine.
"The training of personnel takes place on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, Poland and other EU member states. Within the framework of this mission, the training of combat medics in Bulgaria is planned - up to 60 people in one year", the Ministry of Defense stated in a position uploaded on the social network.
