Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov congratulated the new NATO Secretary General

Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Ivan Kondov sent a congratulatory letter to Mark Rutte on the occasion of his assumption of office as NATO Secretary General.

"I am confident that under your leadership the Alliance will continue to uphold its mission to guarantee the defence of the Euro-Atlantic area while promoting stability and peace," the Bulgarian foreign minister said in his congratulatory letter to Rutte, stressing that Bulgaria remains committed to working closely with its NATO allies in defence of common principles and values, the Foreign Ministry said.

"This year we celebrate 75 years of NATO and 20 years of Bulgaria's accession. I am confident that as a capable and experienced leader you will face the challenges ahead with dedication and will make every effort to achieve NATO's objectives and to strengthen the Alliance's capabilities," the Bulgarian Foreign Minister concluded his letter. | BGNES
