The government's performance appraisal will be ready within days and there is no reason why we should not succeed by March 6th, when the rotation should already be happening.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel at the meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels, in response to a question about the rotation of the bulgarian cabinet, which is expected at the beginning of March.
"We are at the final stage of evaluating the work of each of the ministers. The analysis shows to what extent the tasks have been completed, and where there are delays. It is about a very quick catch-up, where there is a need to talk about whether this will be completed on time, that we've put them in. I expect that to happen literally in the next few days," Gabriel said.
"After that, academician Denkov and I will sit down and talk, and of course, this analysis will now be connected with the ministries and the ministers who are responsible for the implementation of the program," she added.
The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that only after this stage will talk about names, replacement or not of ministers, and other issues.
"When you propose a replacement, it should be with someone who you are sure can come in with a flying start and deal with the delays that have been blamed on his predecessor. We have time (until the rotation) and that is why I am pleading for it to be left an opportunity for the ministers to do their work. Some of them are extremely active, others are gaining speed. Citizens should feel that the ministries are working in their favor," she added. /BGNES
