Bulgaria's National Assembly once again fails to elect a Speaker

The ballot in the National Assembly of Bulgaria did not lead to the election of a spekaer for the seventh time, BGNES reported.
The GERB-UDF candidate Raya Nazaryan received 69 votes in favour, 159 against and 10 abstentions. For the TSP candidate Silvi Kirilov, 118 MPs voted in favour, 103 against and 17 abstained.
Immediately after the vote, Toshko Yordanov recalled the adopted procedural rules and said that 118 was more than half of the 234 MPs who participated in the vote. The President asked for verification and announced that no President had been elected. Stanislav Balabanov asked for a re-vote on Silvi Kirilov only. 238 Members took part in this procedure. 117 supported Kirilov, 104 opposed and 17 abstained. Silvi Kirilov again announced a 15-minute break and asked for consultations with all representatives of the parliamentary parties and coalitions in the Chamber. | BGNES
